General Rules
- We welcome all levels of Role-playing here at Voices Past! We do have a post limit of 200 words (not characters). We know that many see this as being a bit long, but it allows all players to have something to post back too while improving their writing skills.
- Wed do allow some cursing here IN posts ONLY. Do not Curse in the Thread Titles though. If it is seen the staff will remove the post and let the original poster know as to why.
- Only One (1) account per person please. We have posting templates so that you can keep her characters posting tables separate.
- Bullying, bashing, arguing or any sort of hatred will not be tolerated in any way shape or form. We are here to play, write and have fun. Not pick on others. If you have a problem please bring it to the staffs attention and we will try to work things out.
Posting Rules
- We have a word limit of 200+ words. Please make sure to reach this limit, if you find that you are having issues reaching this limit please contact a staff member for us to help you!
- Any inactive threads that go inactive for more than 2 months will be moved to the archives.
- God Moding and Power player is not allowed in any way shape or form! Please do not do this. If it is found that you are you will be warned and possibly banned.
- Activity is a must. After joining you have One (1) week to make a character, and after that if you are inactive for 2-3 weeks you will receive an e-mail to return, and if you do not your account will be removed.
- Quality is a great thing to have. Though we do want Quantity, quality is just as important. Please be sure to keep this in mind when posting.
Images
- All Images used on Voices Past much have proper credits on them or be linked back to a proper host with credits.
- We only accept STOCK or CC licensed stock from Deviantart.com, flikr.com or sxc.hu.
- Full images MUST be hosted on a site as the ones stated above.
Characters and Creation
- There are no purebreeds here at Voices Past. Though they may pop up every now and then, you CANNOT join a purebred horse of any kind.
- With that being said, that does allow for some breeds of horses to have markings they would not normally have. BUT, they must have a legitimate lineage to have those colors. (example: Friesan with Tovero Paint Markings = [Paint x Hanoverian] X [Friesan x Paint])
- There is a Life span here on Voices Past. These horses do live slightly longer than most, but they will eventually die. Most on Voices Past will only live to 28 -34 in game years.
- All mixed (Of any kind you can imagine, except fantasy) are allowed!
- Pregnant Mares CANNOT join.
- The youngest a horse can join is 8 months old. By then they would be fully weaned from their mothers.
- There are two tribes that your horses can join as of right now. The Wind Runners and The Ocean Dwellers. The Ocean Dwellers live more towards the oceans and in caves. They tend to be of a heavier build of horse. The Wind Runners live more in the forests and grasslands. They tend to be more of a lighter build of horse.
- You must wait for your character to be accepted before playing them.
- Once your character is created any major changes that you wish to make to them you must purchase it from the store.
- We do deal with genetics here. If you need help refer to THIS site!
Breeding
The two characters that are going to breed must be in a Thread together and you MUST link that thread to your Breeding Form.
- Season Last one month at a time. Despite the days. Seasons don't follow the days, so neither do ours to a point.
- Breeding will only take place in Summer.
- Foaling will only take place in Spring.
- All characters will age one (1) year each spring.
- Stallions and Mares will begin breeding by age two (2).
- Stallions have a Breeding limit. They all will start out with two (2) Breedings a year. You can purchase Items at the store to increase this, or they will increase every two (2) years.
- Mares have a foaling limit. They all will start out with two (2) Foalings in a LIFETIME. You can purchase Items at the store to increase this, or they will increase every year by 1 One (1) foal. Example : "Mariah is 7 and joins Year 1. She starts out with being able to have (2) foals in her life time. When Year 2 rolls around it increases to Three (3) foals in her life time."
- Mares will no longer be able to have foals after Twenty (20) years of age.
- Upon reaching sexual Maturity, Age Two (2), mares will start out with Two (2) foals in her lifetime. That means if you join a mare at age One (1), she will not have a foaling limit yet. - Force Breeding is allowed with Owners consent.
- Breeding can take place anywhere so long as you link the thread to the breeding form!
- Staff Members are not allowed to create their own stats.
Lands
- There are currently three land sections; The Dark Forest (Wind Runners), The Pristine Meadow and The Golden Beach (Ocean Dwellers).
- The land is so expanse that one cannot easily travel from one side of the land to the other. It would take Two (2) possibly Three (3) days.
- The various breeds tend to stick to the lands their kind evolved in; The Wind Runners stick to The Dark Forest and the Ocean Dwellers stick to The Golden Beach.
- At this time you cannot claim lands.
Bands
- Bands can be formed once a Stallion claims at least Two (2) mares and names one The Lead Mare.
- Bands will reside in an area of a Stallions choosing. However, the Lead mare is the one to run the herd. Stallions are the protectors of the herd and the Mares are the show runners.
- Typically the Lead Mare is the first mare a Stallion Claims. However, the Lead mare will be whom ever the Stallion names to be the Lead Mare.
- There are currently no limits to how many mares a Stallion can have in a herd.
- Stallions do have the right to push around his herd. He is the band stallion after all and if he feels it is best that the herd moves he can nip, kick and bite his mares to get them to move. THIS IS A BIT OF GOD-MODING. DO NOT ABUSE THIS USE OR RIGHT.
